FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to medicine, namely to surgery. In order to cover a defect on the wall of a hollow organ of gastrointestinal tract, two holders are applied on the wound ends with 2-3 mm indent from its edges through serous-muscular-submucous layers. Holders are stretched and inverting welt-like roller is created on the edges of the sewn wound. Formed serous-muscular-submucous folds on the edges of the sewn wound are used for application of uninterrupted mattress suture with perpendicular prick-in of needle to the edges of the sewn wound.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to control, dose deepness and width of prick-ins and prick-outs of the needle through the wall of the intestinal tube and load on stitches.
