METHOD OF SIMILAR INTESTINAL CONTINUITY RESTORATION Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B17/11

Abstract RU 2328229 C1

FIELD: medicine; surgery.

SUBSTANCE: intestinal anastomosis is applied end-by-end using single-layer felled seromuscular submucosal sutures. Yet intestine is crossed at half-distance between two straight adjacent vessels. Submucosal layer of each stump is mobilised by excision of seromuscular casing strip throughout 5-6 mm. Fillet suture is made on mesenteric edges of anastomosed segments combined with temporal fixing ligature put on intestine antimesenteric edges. Ligatures are moved apart until right angle is formed in-between, and evenly stretched. Next suture is applied from mesenteric edges. Then ligatures are pulled together, and previous suture is tied. Then ligatures are moved apart again, and intestine antimesenteric edges suturing is consistently repeated at conditions of intestinal wound dynamic modelling. Further ligatures are removed. Intestine is rotated by 180 degrees along longitudinal axis behind fillet suture thus modelling rhombus-shaped geometry of anastomosis wound apertures using two temporal fixing ligatures. Consecutive suturing of opposite anastomosis semicircle is carried out. Sutures are tied up within gradual reduction of intestinal wound edges.

EFFECT: method provides anastomosis consistency; keeps adequate blood supply to anastomosis region; acutely compare similar tissue of anastomosis end-to-end and prevents anastomosis development.
