FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics, and may be used for increasing IL-15 expression in infant's skeletal muscles. That is ensured by introducing docosahexaenoic acid into the infant in the amount approximately 15 to 30 mg per 1 kg of infant's body weight a day and 20 to 60 mg of arachidonic acid per 1 kg of body weight. Such introduction promotes reduced IL-15 expression in infant's subcutaneous fat.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides muscle mass gain and prevents excessive fat deposition that enables avoiding obesity in an infant.
