SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of specially designed lipid component with an optimal fatty acid profile, with high content of palmitic acid residues in sn-2 position and being in form of fat globules with a phospholipid-coated for nutrition during early life for improving development of a healthy body composition, in particular, prevention of obesity later in life. Lipid component in form of fat globules is a part of a nutritional composition comprising carbohydrate, protein and lipid. Fatty acid composition of lipids includes linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid in a weight ratio of 2 to 10, and at least 10 wt% palmitic acid based on total fatty acids, wherein at least 30 wt% palmitic acid esterified in sn-2 position of triglyceride based on total amount of palmitic acid. Amount of phospholipids, covering fat globules is from 0.5 to 20 wt% phospholipids of total amount of lipid.

EFFECT: nutritional composition is used for prevention of type 2 diabetes, reducing risk of insulin resistance and improve insulin sensitivity, prevention of metabolic syndrome, osteoporosis and/or osteopenia.
