SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of artificial nutritional compositions for infants and young children. Use of an artificial nutritional composition containing at least one fucosylated oligosaccharide for the prevention of a later life disorder in an infant or young child at risk of developing obesity by preventing early fat rebound, the later life disorder being selected from overweight, obesity, and/or obesity-related comorbidities, wherein at least one fucosylated oligosaccharide is fucosylated by FUT3, and wherein at least one fucosylated oligosaccharide is present in the said nutritional composition in an amount effective to achieve the desired effect later in life in the said infant or a young child.

EFFECT: above composition allows to prevent health problems and disorders in later life, chosen from the group consisting of type 2 diabetes, fasting hyperglycemia, insulin resistance, visceral obesity, hyperinsulinemia, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, arthrosis, dyslipidemia, hyperuricemia, fatty liver, osteoarthritis and sleep apnea, after the specified person reaches the age over 36 months.
