FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reactors for catalytic reforming of hydrocarbons by steam, namely, to primary reformer with secondary inlet channels directed toward burners. It comprises reaction chamber and combustion chamber. Said reaction chamber is made up of multiple vertical tubes arranged in line to be filled with catalyst. It comprises also devices to feed hydrocarbons and steam into reaction chamber and those to discharge synthesis gas therefrom. Combustion chamber top has several heaters to create flame to be directed, in fact, downward to heat said reaction tubes. Tube feeding air to burners is furnished with air flow rate control device. Besides, secondary air feed branch pipe is made in various design forms and equipped with independent-control air flow rate setting device to feed air to heater.
EFFECT: optimised process.
