FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves heating and partial oxidation of non-preheated mixture of vapour and natural gas subjected to primary reforming to obtain synthetic gas - NH3, where energy is supplied to the stream of raw synthetic gas after primary reforming. After primary reforming, energy is supplied directly through at least one porous burner 12 placed in the gas-escape channel of the primary reformer 2. The installation has a collector channel 5, pipe 3 for the reformer 2, where between the last input of pipe 3 and the connection with the transportation channel 6 and/or in the transportation channel 6 there is at least on porous burner 12. Each porous burner 12 works together with a fixed mixer 12, specifically located behind it.
EFFECT: invention avoids the need for a wide range of control in the second reactor.
