FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for conversion of chemical installations. A method for conversion of a reforming section of a chemical installation is described, in which the first flow of hydrocarbon raw materials and water steam is supplied to the reforming section, where its is converted into at least partially converted gas; and the installation includes at least one device used as a heater or an evaporator of fluid, containing a case and the first heat-exchanging elements and heated by at least partially converted hot gas coming from the reforming section and supplied to an inter-tube space, and the mentioned fluid is heated and/or evaporated inside the first heat-exchanging elements by means of indirect heat exchange with hot gas. At the same time, when implementing the method: the mentioned device is modified by replacement of the first heat-exchanging elements with the second heat-exchanging elements containing a reforming catalyst; a supplying line for hydrocarbon raw materials is installed, providing supply of the second flow of hydrocarbon raw materials inside the second heat-exchanging elements; and a line is installed, adapted for removal from the second heat-exchanging elements of a flow of at least partially converted gas, wherein the device, thus, is converted into a reformer with gas heating.
EFFECT: creation of a thermodynamically effective method for conversion of a reforming section, requiring smaller capital costs.
