FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reconditioning and hardening of part bore inner surfaces. Proposed method comprises displacing mandrel along bore axis. Then, part is heated by electric current. Heating to hardening temperature is performed by short-term advancing of current through point of contact between mandrel with bore surface.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance.
