SUBSTANCE: invention relates to effective use of internal-combustion engine. The method consists in the following: current engine speed and increase in engine speed is determined, minimum engine speed necessary for prospected upshift is calculated, termination of increasing the engine speed which has not achieved minimum rotation speed is recorded, termination of increasing the engine speed which is close to maximum rotation speed is recorded. Automatic engine output torque regulation s provided to limit rotation speed by preset rotation speed at which engine efficiency is high.
