FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contactless pickups to be used in ICE ignition systems, switching circuits, telemetry and weapons, for example, for control over charge initiation. Low rpm sensor of ICE with n cylinders consists of shielding cylindrical shell rotating jointly with rotor that has n+1 or n-1 cutouts uniformly distributed along circle to separate sensor pairs radially with clearance n along stator circle: Hall pairs (Hall sensor and permanent magnet) or optical pairs (photo sensor and LED). Revolving shield (magnetic or light) allows forward or reverse spark formation relative to rotational direction: forward at n+1 cutouts and reverse at n-1 cutouts.

EFFECT: decreased rotor rpm, higher operating performances, reduced wear, higher efficiency and reliability.
