FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: pressure sensor is in form of a coaxial microwave resonator, having a cylindrical housing, a rod, two flat discs, a cover which receives the measured pressure, a bottom and two coupling loops. The sensor is provided with an additional microwave resonator with the same components as the first microwave resonator (housing, rod, two flat discs and two coupling loops). The housings of both resonators are made into one. The bottom of the first resonator is the cover of the second resonator, rigidity of which is calculated based on the range of the measured pressure and rigidity of the cover of the first resonator.
EFFECT: wider range of measuring pressure owing to variable rigidity of the sensor diaphragm.
