SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machinery. The field chopper includes receiving bodies arranged sequentially, a shredding device, a crushing device, and the unloading pipe. The crushing device consists of a system of crushing rollers driven in rotation. The crushing rolls form at least two through clearances. The gap size of at least two through clearances is adjustable so that the gap size of the through clearance in the inlet region is larger than the size of the gap size of the through clearance subsequent downstream the harvested mass.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the chopper.
