FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: device for trimming tree branches contains a rod, a support for the electric motor, a cutting body, a power supply. Support in the form of U-shaped metal housing (1) is hingedly connected to the end of the rod. To the top of the housing (1) by the screw (7), the turning upper stops (8) are fixed with an adjustable angle between them in accordance with the diameter of the branch trimmed (9). The stops (8) are fixed by screws (10). On one lateral side of the housing (1) an electric motor (2) is mounted. The electric motor is connected to the power supply with the power cable. The power cable is located inside the rod (15). On the shaft of an electric motor a crank (3) is placed. The crank is connected to one end of the cutting body in the form of a linear saw (4). At the opposite end of the linear saw a cap (5) is attached. A traction cord (6) is attached to the cap. The cord passes through the guiding hole in the ledge (16) of the second lateral side of the housing (1). The second lateral side of the housing (1) with the axis (11) is pivotally connected to the lower rest (12). Between the rest (12) and the upper part of the housing (1) a spring (13) is mounted. The screw (14) on the second lateral side of the housing (1) enables to adjust the angle of inclination of the rod to the housing. Cutting force corresponds to the load weight attached to the traction cord.

EFFECT: invention prevents jamming of the cutting tool, the process safety of trimming tree branches increases.
