SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medical technology, in particular to the field of hygiene, and is designed for cleaning teeth. Electric toothbrush includes: an engine, an eccentric shaft, which one end is rigidly secured to the shaft of rotation of the engine; and a component transmitting the vibration for transmission of vibration generated in accordance with rotation of the eccentric shaft to the cleaning site. The eccentric shaft is made so that the center of gravity moves, at least in one direction from the direction in which the distance to the shaft center changes, and the longitudinal direction.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of cleaning teeth through creation of electric toothbrush, in which the resonance frequency and amplitude of vibration of the eccentric shaft can vary.
