FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining, particularly, to small-diameter bore mandrelling. Sample billet is mandrelled to define mandrelling interference that causes through plastic deformation of billet. At this interference, billet bore is mandrelled by pushing single-tooth mandrel with increasing diameter there through. Note here that last mandrel is used to create extra axial constant stretching stress in billet, smaller than billet material initial yield point.
EFFECT: decreased residual strain.
