SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industry of construction materials, specifically to compositions of crude mixtures for making construction articles: bricks, blocks, facing tiles, roofing tiles. The crude mixture for making construction articles contains clay, waste paper, sawdust, crushed fibre glass and ground blast-furnace slag, with the following ratio of components in wt %: clay - 70.7-77.7; waste paper - 0.1-0.2; sawdust - 0.1-0.2; crushed fibre glass - 0.1-0.2; ground blast-furnace slag - 6.0-8.0.
EFFECT: high water resistance of articles.
