FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: there performed is a mechanical synthesis of powdered mixture that contains titanium, titanium carbide, carbon and powder of at least one high-melting compound from the group: titanium diboride, zirconium diboride, chrome diboride and pressed. The blank is roasted at 1300-1450°C for 1-2 hours obtaining porous semi-finished product. Semi-finished product is milled in the mill at semi-finished product and milling elements ratio 1:7.5, mill barrel rotation frequency 240-260 rpm for 10-30 minutes and following sieving with separation of fractions not more than 40 microns and sedimentation with fractions selection not more than 1 micron.

EFFECT: method allows extending the range of powdered compositions for ion-plasma coatings, decrease energy consumption and improvement of no-waste technology.
