FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing titanium carbosilicide-based powdered composition involves preparation of a powdered mixture consisting of titanium, silicon carbide and graphite, taken in molar ratio 3:1.25:0.75, mechanical synthesis in an evacuated planetary mill at drum rotational speed of 320 rpm in intermittent mode, cold pressing, heat treatment in a vacuum furnace at temperature 1350°C for 3 hours and subsequent grinding of the obtained sample in a planetary mill using titanium equipment to obtain powder of the required particle size.
EFFECT: obtaining a powdered composition with high content of titanium carbosilicide without undesirable impurities.
