FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a wear-resistant coating based on a titanium-titanium dioxide system on the surface of a substrate from a titanium alloy or steel. Preliminary abrasive-jet treatment of the surface of said substrate and microplasma spraying of the cermet composition are carried out at voltage of 32–36 V, current strength of 25–28 A and flow rate of plasma-forming carrier gas 3 l/min to obtain said wear-resistant coating with thickness of 400–500 mcm. Cermet composition is obtained by mechanical synthesis of a powder mixture consisting of a titanium matrix powder with fraction of 10 to 80 mcm and a reinforcing titanium dioxide powder with fraction of 100–200 nm in amount of 10–20 wt.%, in a vibrating bowl grinder for 6-9 minutes at a rotation rate of bowls of 1,000–1,200 rpm. Cermet composition represents composite surface-reinforced granules with particle size of 20–40 mcm, consisting of a titanium matrix in amount of 80–90 wt.%. and a surface-reinforcing component – titanium dioxide powder with fraction of 100–200 nm in amount of 10 to 20 wt.%.
EFFECT: obtaining wear-resistant coating based on titanium-titanium dioxide system on prepared surface of part from steel or titanium alloy with integral hardness from 700 to 1,000 HV and porosity of not more than 5%.
