FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: device contains massive solid foundation with measurement zone, optoelectronic heads located on both sides of sheet products, longitudinal electric drive with rollers for sheet products feeding to measurement zone, lateral electric drive for moving optoelectronic heads perpendicularly the direction of sheet products feeding and personal computer (PC). Each of optoelectronic heads has emission source, position-sensitive photoelectric detector and focusing and receiving lens system. PC inputs are connected to photoelectric detector outputs, and outputs - to electric drive inputs. Device has a carriage with U-shaped holder, on the opposite ends of which there are optoelectronic heads, fans with air filters built-in the optoelectronic heads casing. The foundation is made in the form of a gantry, along the horizontal beam of which there are guide ways for carriage movement; the gantry is equipped with parking zones for optoelectronic heads formed by U-shaped protective screens attached to the foundation. Emission sources have emission wave length less than 0.63 microns. Each of optoelectronic heads is equipped with light filter that is located in front of the receiving lens system and adjusted on the range of wave lengths of emission source of this optoelectronic head.

EFFECT: provision of hot sheet products thickness control in production conditions without operating process stop.
