FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to displaying motion parameters to trackless vehicle driver. Proposed method comprises displaying dynamic symbols on windscreen, i.e.a) forecast traces of front wheels; b) vehicle lengthwise axis; c) position of front wheels relative to vehicle lengthwise axis; d) braking distance; e) safe distance for overtaking preceding vehicle and diverging oncoming vehicles. Method comprises also receiving data from transducers of: a) front wheel position relative to vehicle lengthwise axis; b) vehicle speed; c) ambient temperature; d) raining; e) oncoming vehicle speed and distance thereto. Received data is transmitted from said transducers to controller provided with vehicle performances and traffic conditions data base. Said controller computes position of symbols on windscreen. Prototypes of said symbols are computed and output to display connected to controller. Said prototypes are displayed by optical projector onto windscreen.

EFFECT: expanded operating performances, higher safety.
