FIELD: display control.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a display control method and a display control device. The display control method for displaying operations for performing a lane change by a control system controls the behaviour of a host vehicle and comprises display steps. An image showing an arrow to indicate a lane change is displayed on a display that can be visually recognized by the driver in a situation where the control system prompts the driver of the vehicle to perform a lane change. Moreover, the image is displayed on the display in response to a proposal to change lanes made to the driver by the control system. The image is displayed on the display in response to the driver agreeing to the said proposal. The image appears on the display in accordance with the activation of the turn signal in the direction in which the control system is making a lane change. Moreover, the arrow display mode switches from the first display mode to the third display mode at each display stage. The arrow display ends when the control system has completed automatic lane change.
EFFECT: increases safety during operation of the carrier vehicle.
