FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: after collecting samples from water supply sources, a tracer - uranium-232 is added and natural uranium is purified from alpha-active isotopes of radium and thorium. Further, uranium is electrochemically deposited onto a stainless steel disc, followed by alpha-spectrometric determination of the amount of tracer - the ratio of alpha-active isotopes uranium-234 and uranium-238, i.e. y=234U/238U. Lines of equal values of y on the area and section the aqueous layer are constructed and the path of all streams on the area and section of the aqueous layer is determined, as well as balance components the aqueous layer from which the presence or absence of interaction between aqueous layers and presence of deposits of mineral water of deep origins is determined.

EFFECT: high accuracy of hydrogeology survey results.
