SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely, to finishing of workpiece with nanostructures surface layer. Roughness Ra=(0.4…0.1) mcm is created on workpiece surface. Note here that indenter with semi-cylindrical work section is used, its axis being located at φ=(5…30) degrees to workpiece axis, or that with spherical shape. Then, workpiece surface is machine to roughness Ra≤10 nm. Note here that indenter with semi-cylindrical work section is used, its axis being located at φ=(70…85) degrees to workpiece axis.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
