FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: proposed controlled stepped attenuator, inlet and outlet of which are formed by parallel connection of two sections of a transmission line, one of which is made in the form of three serially connected quarter-wave sections of the line shunted by SHF in points of connection by diodes connected by DC in one polarity at the distance of a wave quarter relative to the inlet and outlet, the second section of the transmission line comprises a signal attenuation unit. The attenuation unit is connected at the same distance from the inlet and outlet. The second section of the transmission line is shunted by SHF with diodes connected by DC in the same polarity, at the distance of a wave quarter from the inlet and outlet, besides, quarter-wave sections of the line are connected to free electrodes of all diodes.
EFFECT: reduced initial losses of an attenuator, in a decreased difference between a direct and bypass phase-frequency response and simplified calculation of an attenuator phase-frequency response during design.
