FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocket engineering and specifically to gas generating devices used to produce low-temperature nitrogen gas in pressure sources providing continuous supply of cooled gas at constant flow rate in power plant feed systems, including when supplying combustible materials. Low-temperature nitrogen generator comprises a housing with a gas outlet, a pyrotechnic gas-generating charge installed in the housing with a side gap, an initiating device located on the side opposite to the gas outlet, as well as filtering element installed between gas outlet and gas-generating charge. Feature of this generator is that it contains cylindrical housing, in the inner volume of which there is a longitudinally arranged cylindrical housing element and a metal cup, an igniter unit, a composite pyrotechnic device, a filtering-cooling system and a safety device.
EFFECT: expansion of technological and functional capabilities of gas generators.
