FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to jointing two structural elements by fasteners. Multiple mounting holes are bored in overlap zone. Every said hole receives one fastener. Every mounting hole is made by drill passed through appropriate center hole made in drilling patter fixed at overlap zone. Used drill comprises chuck to rest on overlap zone and expanding ring. The latter embraces said chuck over conical contact surface. Expanding ring and thrust chuck are shifted past each other to lock expanding ring in appropriate center hole. With said ring locked in said hole, chuck resting on overlap zone displaces via center hole toward overlap zone to exert pressure thereon.
EFFECT: ruled out burrs and chips accumulation on joint boundary.
