FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a navigation system for an autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle, having a support vessel, an autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle and a set of transponder beacons. The support vessel is fitted with a satellite navigation system receiver, a universal time system and shipboard control, processing and display equipment. The autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle is fitted with tranceiving units of a hydroacoustic navigation, remote control and communication system, navigation-piloting sensors and a local area network. Said vehicle is also provided with a log for measuring the velocity of the autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle relative the water surface, which is in form of an inductive apparatus for measuring the longitudinal and transverse components of velocity and the drift angle, and a gyro-compass. The autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle is also fitted with a mobile sound speed metre. The shipboard control, processing and display equipment further includes a unit for data on ephemeral information about Earth navigation satellites.
EFFECT: high accuracy of navigation characteristics in bad weather conditions.
