SUBSTANCE: fibre-optic interface switch and the interfacing and control controller of a solid-state drive SSD through an Ethernet are formed as part of an electronic module which, together with a computer-on-a-module and an SSD, are installed on the heat sink of a small-outline package. The computer-on-a-module is connected through a PCI Express bus to the electronic module, through a Gigabit Ethernet bus to the switch of the electronic module, and through a Serial ATA bus to the solid-state drive SSD, whose second input is connected to the output of the electronic module through an Ethernet control circuit, according to which control of operation of the system, having several housing modules, is carried out through the Ethernet with series connection of the Ethernet fibre-optic inputs/outputs of the housing modules.
