FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: several auxiliary markers are formed, which consist of references of image areas for enabling tracking of the selected area of the scene; to generate references of auxiliary markers, selection of areas of the scene with marked selective features is carried out, as well as detection of areas of the scene with marked selective features and elimination of the noise microstructure is carried out based on results of decomposing the initial image with a Haar wavelet via fast discrete stationary two-dimensional wavelet-transform. Coordinate shifts of the auxiliary markers are used to increase accuracy when calculating coordinate shifts of the tracking point, as well as maintaining the tracking function in cases when information contact with the tracked object is lost, wherein to reduce the effect of reference rewriting on accuracy of localisation thereof on the current image, simultaneously with formation of a reference for each marker, its scaling series is created, which is used during changes in the scale of the scene.
EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of tracking irrespective of selection of the tracking object.
