SUBSTANCE: method for preparing blood serum involves two stages. At the first stage, a native blood serum of grown cattle is produced. Blood is sampled in the aseptic environment exclusively from male calve's hearts in polycarbonate bottles pre-filled with 5% sodium chloride 100-200 ml. The bottles are filled with blood approximately in half and placed in a cold storage at temperature +1-+2°C, herewith being inclined at 35° for 72 hours. Then serum is drained off and pre-purified by EKS filters at temperature +2-+6°C. Thereafter polyethylene cans are filled with serum and kept at temperature -(15-20)°C for one week or more. The second stage consists in removing the cell growth inhibiting substances from native blood serum by single-stage freezing and thawing. Upper light serum layers are collected starting from above to a boundary line with hemolysed layers; it is followed by pre-purification through EKS deep-bed filters. Sterilisation filtration is conducted through membrane filters at temperature +2-+6°C.

EFFECT: method enables producing serum applicable for animal and human cell culture, including hybridomas, enhancing serum yield in relation to blood volume taken, improving its quality.
