FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and is intended for the purification of blood serum of cattle from contaminants. Method includes the use of frozen blood supplied from the meat producing plants. To the serum, after thawing and clarification by microfiltration through a filter with pores of 450 nm, 1 % of the purified aqueous extract of the shungite mineral is added with stirring. Mixture is left to stand for 18–20 hours at room temperature and clarified by separation on a flow centrifugal separator. Process is completed by filtration through a sterilizing microfilter with a pore diameter of 220 nm.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides highly effective removal from the serum of contaminant agents of viral, bacterial and other etiology containing a nucleic component in the form of DNA or RNA.
