FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for monitoring impurities has a sealed removable optical flow cell placed in a light-proof housing with a built-in photodetector. The apparatus includes a gas and analysed liquid mixer, having a common wall with the optical flow cell. A hole for overflow of liquid is made in the common wall. The mixer has two diaphragms with given pore size and two stop cocks. The light-proof housing in which the optical cell is placed has one photodetector, a tap for outlet of the analysed liquid and is connected by flexible light guides to a light source. The gas and analysed liquid mixer is made from light-proof material and has separate nozzles for inlet of liquid and gas. The gas and analysed liquid mixer is provided with removable diaphragms which allow passage of particles of a dispersed phase with a given degree of dispersion. The gas and analysed liquid mixer is also provided with stop cocks for controlling gas pressure and outlet of coarsely dispersed particles from the zone of the mixer.
