FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: storage container for developer has a main housing, an outlet hole, an open/closed element and a revolving latching part. The outlet hole, from which developer goes out, is formed in the main housing of the container containing the developer. The open/closed element is held on the main housing of the container and moves relative the main housing of the container by turning the main housing of the container. The open/closed element opens and closes the outlet hole. The revolving latching part is formed on the surface of the wall of the main housing of the container and has the shape of an arched element which is concentric with the direction of rotation of the main housing of the container. The revolving latching part engages with a bulging part which is located in connection section and is formed with a different position depending on the housing of the image-forming apparatus.

EFFECT: controlling the rotation range of a storage container for developer with possibility of identifying that container using simple structural means.
