SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biocides. A biocidal mixture for protecting wood-polymer composites from attack or destruction by microorganisms contains 3-iodo-2-propynyl-N-butylcarbamate (IPBC), 3% pyrogenic silicic acid and additionally thiabendazole (TBZ), with the ratio of components IPBC and TBZ from 1:99 to 99:1. The wood-polymer composite contains a biocidal mixture. The mother batch for protecting wood-polymer composites from attack and/or destruction by microorganisms contains a polymer and a biocidal mixture, with the following ratio of components: polymer 20-99 wt %; biocidal mixture - the balance. The polymer and the biocidal mixture are mixed and then subjected to extrusion or a polymer, which swells in a solvent, is mixed with the solution of the biocidal mixture and the solvent is separated from the common mixture.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of action on microorganisms.
