FIELD: woodworking industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular, to the manufacture of a plate made of a wood-based material. In the method, a mixture of wood fibers with a moisture content of wood fibers in the range of 6 % to 15 % and plastic material in the ratio of the components in the mixture of 70 % by weight of wood fibers / 30 % by weight of plastic material to 40 % by weight of wood fibers / 60 % by weight of plastic material is applied to the first conveyor belt to form a preliminary carpet. Said preliminary carpet is fed to at least one first heat treatment furnace for pre-compression. Such pre-compressed pre-carpet is transferred to at least one two-belt press for further compression to produce a plate of wood-based material. Then, such compressed plate from the wood-based material is cooled in at least one cooling press to a temperature in the range of 10–70 °C.

EFFECT: swelling of the plates decreases.
