FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, particularly traumatology. A surgical approach is created. Fibula fragments are reduced. A canal is formed in a lateral malleolus through its apex. An intramedullary rod with altitude clamp holes are inserted in the formed canal. Holes coaxial with those in a lower portion of the intramedullary rod are formed in the lateral malleolus. The position of the intramedullary rod is fixed by inserting the altitude clamps through the holes therein and in the lateral malleolus. A transversal canal is formed in the fibula and tibia above a joint space to provide the diameter of its fibula intake exceeding a diameter of the formed canal. A malleolar screw is inserted through the formed canal and screwed in the intramedullary rod against the head stop to provide dynamic fixation of the tibiofibular syndesmosis.
EFFECT: method provides higher stability of fibula osteosynthesis and reduced rehabilitation period.
