FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water resources protection. Sorbing material represents corrugated nonwoven web with bulk density of 0.01 to 0.06 g/cm3 and thickness of 0.5 to 5.0 cm. Said web is made from hydrophobic polyethylene or polypropylene fibers and hydrophilic polyester and viscose fibers. Hydrophilic fibers are processed by water emulsion of latex comprising butadiene-styrene rubber, polymethylhydridsiloxane and alkylsiliconate. Proposed method consists in making the web by bonding said fibers by water emulsion of latex and thermal treatment at 100-140°C.
EFFECT: higher water repellency and oil capacity.
