FIELD: oil pollution elimination sorbents.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of water to remove petroleum and petroleum products as well as to separation of stable direct and low-concentrated water/oil emulsions and provides sorption material containing a layer in the form of by-volume corrugated nonwoven cloth composed of polymer fibers with hydrophobic surface and a layer of hydrophilic ultrathin fiber having dielectric constant by at least 1,45 unit superior to that of the layer with hydrophobic surface. Preparation procedure comprises following operations: formation of substrate layer from hydrophobic polymer fibers; thermomechanical compaction thereof; formation of in-volume corrugated cloth followed by thermal fixation; formation of layer from hydrophilic ultrathin fibers; superposition of the layers; attachment thereof to each other, and aging in electrolyte solution. Resulting material is used to separate emulsions by filtration through sorption material: first through hydrophobic layer and then through hydrophilic one to form double electric layer in the layer interface.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cleaning and separation processes.
