FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly, to high-speed ship steps. Ship hull comprises bottom skin with transverse step made from polymer material (rubber or polyurethane) glued in one-layer or multilayer to said bottom skin. Step stiffness at compression caused by hydrodynamic pressures at impacts on waves is selected to make relative compressive deformation at maximum design pressure equal, at least, 2%. Said stiffness allows efficient damping of step rendezvous with waves. To create extra jet propulsion in this case, step may be provided with through opening equipped with bow air intake valve and stern ware release valves.
EFFECT: efficient damping, reliable design and higher fatigue strength.
