FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: systems and methods are disclosed, which enable a network to configure its connection to neighbouring nodes by instructing each user equipment (UE) to scan neighbouring base stations in its corresponding zone based on a predetermined frequency or radio access technology. Also, the network can draw up lists (e.g., white lists, which identify base stations associated with the network, and black lists which indicate base stations associated with alien networks) and alert UE with respect to the possibility of accessing base stations.
EFFECT: enabling a network to configure its connections to neighbouring nodes automatically and with higher accuracy compared to manual configurations.
