FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic sorbents for cleaning different media from petroleum, oil and other hydrocarbons. The disclosed sorbent contains the following components in wt %: ferromagnetic iron oxides from iron ore 5-59, silicon dioxide from the same iron ore 41-95. The surface of the sorbent is hydrophobisated with amines.
EFFECT: obtaining a magnetic sorbent with improved operating characteristics.
