FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to updating the elevator 10 with first cabin 30 actuated by first drive 20 to displace in elevator well 32. For updating purposes, at least second drive 42 is installed without changing aforesaid first drive 32. Besides, well 20 accommodates, at least, one second cabin engaged with second drive 42. Existing control device is replaced by another control system or existing control device is configured to control first drive 32 and second drive 42. Control device is driven into adjustment mode. Note here that elevator first cabin travel is limited at certain section of floors to be cleared for mounting operations.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
