SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biology, chemistry, medicine, pharmacology, food industry, agriculture and can be used to control concentration of aqueous solutions of organic and inorganic substances. The method involves exposing water or an aqueous solution to an alternating magnetic field with magnetic flux density of 25 mT for less than 1 hour at constant temperature. To increase the solvent power, the water is exposed to an alternating magnetic field with frequency in the range of 10-30 Hz and 1-9 Hz for the aqueous solution, and to reduce the solvent power, the water is exposed to an alternating magnetic field with frequency in the range of 1-9 Hz, and 10-30 Hz for the aqueous solution.

EFFECT: increasing/decreasing solvent power of water by varying frequency parameters of the alternating magnetic field to which the water is exposed.
