SUBSTANCE: to confirm reception of data in a communication system comprising more than one unit (4, 5) of upper level data in a unit (3) of a lower level protocol, data (6) is sent to confirm reception, as well as data (4, 5) of upper level in one and the same unit (3) of a lower level protocol. Data of reception confirmation relating to all units of upper level data in (or in each) a unit of a lower level protocol are coded in compliance with probability of reception confirmation type.
EFFECT: reduced redundancy of reception confirmation messages.
