FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to method for data unit transmission (DB4..DB6) from transmitting device (e.g. transmitting network node) to receiving device (e.g. receiving network node), particularly during transmission of time unit stream. Also, transmitting device for executing the method as per present invention is described. Transmitting device is able to receive at least two different types of positive/negative acknowledgements for data units of the mentioned type from receiving device, where transmitting device response to positive/negative acknowledgements depends on type of received positive/negative acknowledgement.
EFFECT: reliable acknowledgement of data unit receive.
