FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: digital messages are sent between a speed sensor (MS) and a registration unit (RU). They accordingly have a pair of keys with an open key (KMP, KRP) and a secret key (KMS, KRS), and also a certificate (ZM, ZR) produced from an appropriate pair of keys. Mutual verification of open keys (KMP, KRP) and certificates (ZM, ZR) is carried out between a registration unit (RU) and a speed sensor (MS). In case of positive verification the speed sensor (MS) defines sensor data and generates a digital message from them. Additionally authentication information is generated for the message by means of the speed sensor (MS) depending on its pair of keys (KMP, KMS). The message and authentication information are sent to a registration unit and processed there depending on relevance of authentication information verified by a registration unit (RU). After a preset period of time or depending on a number of messages between the registration unit (RU) and the speed sensor (MS) a new session key is established.
EFFECT: prevention of system safety deterioration in case a separate secret key is compromised.
