FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a toothbrush and bristle configuration, providing more effective cleaning of teeth. Bristle includes large bunches with larger cross-sectional area compared to bunches of standard toothbrushes. Large bunches are configured such that the upper ends of the bristles contained in large bunches are of different height. There are more than one protruding sections, the protruding sections are spatially isolated from each other in order to function independently. In a preferred version, at least one of the protruding sections has a sufficient area of cleaning surface with bristles protruding at a sufficient height above the surrounding bristles so that the protruding section is able to penetrate into the interdental spaces and clean the surface of the teeth between teeth, preferably while other bristles in a large bunch clean other surfaces of the teeth. Another aspect of the invention relates to a zig-zag or tooth profile of bristle, where each bunch, forming a profile has a different configuration in the form of a cone or a truncated cone. In one version, the height of bristles of bunches in the form of a cone or a truncated cone increases from the edges of the toothbrush head towards the head midline.

EFFECT: more effective cleaning of teeth.
