FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises machining gear toothed part made up of surfaces of addenda and sockets and that of their profile working and trailing parts to preset parameters. To up the quality of reconditioning, worn-out surfaces of addenda are subjected to shearing to make tooth surfaces matching with initial geometrical sizes and, then, tooth profile working and trailing surfaces are sheared. Note here that shearing allows forming addendum surfaces with initial depth by displacing tooth socket into gear body to the depth corresponding to that of worn-out top surface. Reconditioning completed, profiles on working and trailing parts are machined to preset surface finish. Worn-out top part may be sheared to depth of 12-22 mm relative to addendum surface.
EFFECT: higher quality of reconditioned surfaces.
